Participation in the Mensch und Computer (MuC) Conference 2026

The professorship Digital Transformation is represented with three contributions at the 30th Mensch und Computer (MuC) 2026 in Duisburg, Germany. MuC is the largest conference on human-computer interaction in Europe and will take place this year from August 30 to September 2, 2026, at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Under this year's theme "Transforming Interactions", the conference explores the relationships between society and interactive technologies, as well as their transformative potential.
The following two contributions will be presented at the conference:
Konopka, Björn and Wiesche, Manuel. (2026). Facilitating Informed Privacy Decisions in Smart Homes: Design Principles for Contextualized Data Permission Justifications. https://doi.org/10.1145/3820253.3820259

We will also be represented in the conference’s Demo Track. We will present the interactive prototype glowAR, which was developed as part of the EFRE-funded research project flowAR:
Hofmann, Dana; Wiesche, Manuel; and Brandt, Philipp. (2026). glowAR: Turning a Physical Flower into an Interactive AR Canvas.
We look forward to the conference and hope to gain valuable insights from the presentations and discussions, as well as engaging exchanges and new connections with colleagues from academia and practice.
