In the summer semester 2026, digitalization will be offered for the last time in the summer semester, due to the changeover to the new examination regulations (BPO 2025).

From the winter semester 2026/2027, digitalization will be offered in the winter semester.

Content overview

Based on the central paradigms of business informatics, the course "Digitalization" offers an introduction to the process of digital change in value creation as an element of integration between business, society and IT.
In the course, students acquire a basic understanding of information systems as drivers of digitalization and learn to understand models as a basis for designing such systems.
