The study examines how openness, generativity and network effects in the Integreat app support social inclusion.

Our article on the Integreat app has been published in the renowned scientific journal MIS Quarterly.

The integration of refugees as equal members of society plays a central role on the way to more social justice. The platform mechanisms of openness, generativity and network effects can contribute to social inclusion

Using the Integreat app, an information platform for refugees in Germany, we show how these mechanisms of digital platforms support the aspects of access and participation in social inclusion. Our article serves as a starting point for research at the intersection of the literature streams of digital platforms and social inclusion and, more broadly, provides information on the use of digital platforms for social purposes.

Our article is part of a "curated case selection" in MIS Quarterly's special issue on "Digital Technologies and Social Justice".
